Talentrio helps you; build strong relationship at work, bring more awareness to your career development and make work more fun and joyous. Here are some best practices that may help you fetch more out of Talentrio:
How often should I visit Talentrio?
Healthy rhythms help us being happy and successful:
- Mark some specific time to visit Talentrio everyday. May be once after lunch or evening break and once right before leaving (reading all the positive stuff will make you feel good).
- Mark a little time on weekly basis to give feedback as a Manager (we think Friday’s are awesome for that)
- Try to review your competencies tab and assignments on a weekly / monthly basis. This brings focus on your development.
- Once you visit Talentrio (for say, when you get a star), take a few minutes extra to review the News-feed and may be Appreciate someone. You are here already, might as well spread the goodness and joy.
Overall Best Practices:
-
Try to give as many stars as possible each week (look for a reason to be appreciative)
-
Always give thoughtful and specific comments. Your words matter more than Stars or Thumbs Up to others, when it comes to appreciation. Take your time to show both; thoughtfulness and communication skills
-
When you view the News-feed, ‘Like’ other’s Appreciation Posts, this shows them that you read “what they do well”
-
If you want to further appreciate someone – use the comment section
-
Use News-feed post functionality judicially for direct work or for sharing, that is not too social, personal, political or otherwise spam. Simple; "If it belongs on Facebook, it does not belong in Talentrio"
-
Make sure that your profile is 100% complete and periodically updated. When people know you more they work better with you. In this way you may find new connections, sharing common interests
-
Clear your Notifications, once you browsed and acted on them (click on clear all). This way they will not pile up and the count indicator will go down to null
-
Play around the application and explore different areas. Trust us, you won't break anything or do any damage to yourself :)
-
Use Talentrio to Plan your work and learning
-
Talentrio has powerful functionality of Assignments, To-Dos and Assignment Templates. Try using it often for all your day-to-day responsibilities
-
Create your personal to-do lists too, but remember not to publish it as assignment
-
Use the comment box against each expectation or to-do item, as a scratch pad to note the points to remember
-
Use Notify Button to let your manager / reviewer know your progress, to get input or feedback. They get emails and notifications, which saves you the hassle of typing emails or figuring out when they have time to review.
